CA ScrippsAssists Celebrates 1,800 Hours of Service in 2013
Recording an estimated 1,800 hours of service for charitable causes that benefit cancer patients, hungry and homeless populations, clean environments and families at risk, ScrippsAssists recently celebrated its 2013 San Diego service year and lauded two retiring committee members.
At the ScrippsAssists annual luncheon, Mishelle McClanahan-Shinn, chair of the TSRI employee volunteer group, highlighted the many contributions of recently retired members Jan Hill and Marcia McRae. Hill helped establish the service organization in 1993; McRae coordinated many projects with ScrippsAssists community partner Home Start and chaired the annual Craft Fair fundraiser.
