Transforming Healthcare Through Evidence-Driven Digital Medicine
A thoughtful exploration of the clinical evidence necessary to drive the widespread uptake of digital health solutions will be the focus of Scripps Translational Science Institute’s 2017 Digital Medicine conference. Currently, there is a shortage of clinical trial data investigating the role of digital medicine, although this evidence is critically necessary if it is to achieve its potential to transform care. There is a clear need for a forum to present, discuss and debate existing evidence and how to best obtain it in order to accelerate change. This one-of-its-kind, interactive conference will be led by a faculty composed of leaders in this burgeoning field, with a mix of developers, investigators and providers. The principal goal of the conference is to jumpstart efforts to drive the widespread incorporation of evidence-based digital medicine solutions for more-personalized, individual-centric care to improve outcomes, advance satisfaction and decrease costs. ScrippsAssists would like to thank all of the donors in this year’s Back-to-School Backpack Drive. We received almost $500 in monetary and gift card donations, as well as, donations of 20 backpacks and good number of supplies. ScrippsAssists supplemented with a donation to allow the purchase of additional backpacks and the remaining needed supplies. In all, we were able to donate 40 backpacks filled with basic school supplies to Home Start which were immediately distributed to children in their programs in time for them to begin their school year on August 15.
