Position: Licensed Staff Counselor, Counseling and Psychological Services, The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), Florida campus.
Responsibilities: Scoville provides free and confidential individual, couples and family counseling services to benefits-eligible employees and their family members on the Florida campus. She can help address a wide range of issues, such as relationship concerns; stress; adjustment to change or loss; mood, anxiety, career or academic issues; health-related concerns; and conflict resolution. She also offers support groups, consultation, referrals, outreach and education.
Background: A native Texan, Scoville moved to Florida in 2005. She is a licensed mental health counselor and obtained a doctorate from Capella University and a master’s degree from St. Mary’s University. With 18 years of experience with individuals and families in therapy, she has worked in a variety of mental health settings and also maintains a private practice in Jupiter.
Philosophy on mental health: “Mental health is a lifestyle, and, just as with physical health, it requires regular monitoring and maintenance.”
