Sir Richard Doll—famous for being the first doctor to link tobacco
smoking to lung cancer as well as for implicating a number of other
chemicals in various cancers—was one of the visitors who passed
through campus this month. Doll (third from the left) met with several
TSRI investigators and Scripps medical doctors, including: K.C. Nicolaou,
Joel Diamant, Kim Janda, John Trombold, Merlin Hamer.
