Scripps Florida Philanthropy Hosts Luau by the Lake

Scripps Florida Philanthropy held an early evening luau May 9 to express appreciation for donors. The lakeside setting provided an idyllic venue to gather together, don a lei, and enjoy tropical food and drink in celebration of those who make The Scripps Research Institute’s (TSRI) work possible.

A highlight of the evening was a traditional Hawaiian dance troupe showcasing the various dances of the islands. Several guests were given quick lessons and joined in performing for all the guests.

David Blinder, TSRI senior vice president for external affairs, warmly greeted every guest and extended appreciation on behalf of TSRI President and CEO Michael Marletta.

Here are some photos from the event.
