Professor Emeritus Neil Cooper, the author of nearly 200 scientific publications, contributed to the field of biochemistry, biology, and molecular biology of the complement system, a critical component of the immune system. In recent years, he has evaluated the role of inflammatory processes in tissue destruction and cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease.
