Robert McMillan and Curtis Wilson, Jr. Celebrate 35 Years

"I'm certain you remember 'Mrs. Robinson' by Simon and Garfunkel," said Muñoz. "The year was 1968. And we honor several individuals this evening for 35 years at TSRI."

Robert McMillan (right), known as "Mac" to his friends, is a professor in the Department of Molecular & Experimental Medicine and a staff hematologist in the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Scripps Clinic Medical Group, practicing primarily in the area of platelet disorders. In 1980, he established the Scripps Bone Marrow Transplantation Center, which he headed for 13 years.

Curtis Wilson, Jr. (left), is recognized as one of the leading authorities on the immunopathologic mechanisms of immune complex-based renal disease. He has trained a large number of research fellows, who have gone on to make important scientific contributions.
