A group of researchers led by Professor Bruce Beutler have
discovered rare genetic mutations in a subset of people who
come down with a particular kind of severe sepsis, an acute
and often deadly disease.

to Host Educational Web Seminar
TSRI, in conjunction with San Diego City Schools, is hosting
a web seminar, "Contemporary Issues in Bioscience," for California
middle and high school science teachers. The seminar was created
in response to teachers' interest in providing innovative,
hands-on science activities in the classroom.
