The half of the CarrAmerica B building interior that will be used by
Phase I—devoted to working out the structure of the proteins and
nucleic acids in complexes that carry out the work of the cell—was
designed and built last year. In this picture, taken on June 6, 2001,
the foundation has been laid and the frames for the walls have been
put into place.
