This is what the ground floor of the CarrAmerica B building looked
like on April 23, 2001.
The six wooden frames in the foreground will become part of the six
rooms for microscopes in the center of the building. The three-foot
thick concrete slabs to be poured here will protect the microscopes
from vibrations by isolating them from the foundation of the building.
