Florida Interns Compete for Travel Awards

In Florida, all 14 undergraduate interns prepared scientific posters explaining the results of their research and presented their posters at a two-hour competition. Postdocs from Scripps Florida's Society of Research Fellows volunteered as judges; prizes consisted of three travel awards for the winners to present their poster at a national scientific conference of the student and faculty advisor's choice.

Here, competition winner Megan Novak, a senior at Furman University and intern in the Karbstein lab, speaks with Professor Patrick Griffin about her project.
