Gardel Wins Burroughs Wellcome Fund Award Research Associate Margaret L. Gardel of the Waterman lab has won a Career Award at the Scientific Interface from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund for her project "Dynamic Force Generation in Cell Migration." These five-year awards are designed to encourage research at the interface between the physical/computational sciences and the biological sciences and to foster the development and productivity of promising postdoctoral researchers early in their careers, including the transition to becoming independent investigators.
