A Room of Its Own

Staff in Facilities Planning designed a room in the Beckman building specifically to hold the new system. The room features a dedicated chiller to cool the racks of servers, an air circulation system capable of putting out 12,400 cubic feet of air per minute (compared with 100 for an average office), and a filter to eliminate any excess electrical current.
