Perego Promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure
Marta Perego (University of Pavia, Italy, Ph.D.) has been promoted to associate professor with tenure in The Scripps Research Institute Department of Molecular and Experimental Medicine. Perego conducted postdoctoral studies at the University of Pavia and at Scripps Research, going on to hold positions in Italy at the University of Pavia, the University of Udine, and the University of Parma. She returned to Scripps Research in 1995. A member of the American Society of Microbiology and of the editorial board of the Journal of Bacteriology, Perego focuses her research on the regulation of bacterial signal transduction in development and pathogenesis.
