On Saturday, December 8, Okeanos, the hand-crafted bronze sculpture
by William Tucker, was moved from its location in front of the Green
Hospital to a permanent home on the east side of The Scripps Research
Institute (TSRI) campus.
Son of Ouranos, Father Sky, and Gaia, Mother Earth, Okeanos was a Greek
titan, one of the ancient gods and uncle to Zeus. Okeanos was both the
ocean and the source of all fresh water in the world.
