Inbar Friedrich Ben-Nun, Ph.D.

Inbar Friedrich Ben-Nun was a postdoctoral fellow at Jeanne Loring's laboratory. Inbar received her bachelor's degree in biology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she did a research in the laboratory of Prof. J. Hirschberg.  During her master and doctoral studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, she did a research in the laboratory of Prof. A. Levitzki. She studies the ability of specific PKR activation to lead to cell death in cancer cells.  After completion of her doctoral degree, she began her postdoctoral work in embryonic stem cell research in Prof. N. Benvenisty lab at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she studied the effect of microRNAs on the cell cycle.  Inbar lately joined the Loring lab, at the Center for Regenerative Medicine at TSRI. Inbar’s projects includes: Cellular reprogramming of endangered species; Establishing new methods for reprogramming differentiated cells;  and Exploring the role of microRNAs in the cell cycle of differentiated and pluripotent cells.
