Caroline Moon
Caroline Moon is the chief financial officer of Scripps Research. She brings a broad and deep skill set in financial strategy and operations, as well as digital transformation. Administrative functions reporting to the chief financial officer span accounts payable and receivable, central grants, general ledger, payroll, pre-award, R&D strategic finance, treasury, and strategic finance and analysis.
She joined Scripps Research in 2022, coming from a position as the Head of Strategic Finance at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where she gained an intimate understanding of this top biomedical research institute. Prior to the Broad, she was a partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, where she provided strategic guidance and finance best practices to the executive leadership teams at the firm’s portfolio companies, having served as CFO to a number of early- to growth-stage technology companies before joining the firm.
Overall, Moon has more than 25 years of finance leadership experience in the technology sector. She is a graduate of Cornell University.
