Industry Bridge Program
The Society of Fellows Industry Bridge Program is designed to provide opportunities for Scripps Research postdoctoral associates and graduate students to learn about industry careers by visiting area biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Individuals will have the opportunity to obtain industry exposure, interact with industry scientists and learn how to prepare for the transition from academia to industry.
Company visits will vary depending on the companies’ needs and can last from a few hours to all day. A typical visit will consist of a facilities tour, presentations by the company employees (research, company mission, etc.) and a networking lunch for the attendees to get a chance to talk with the industry scientists in small groups. The Industry Bridge Program does not provide one-on-one meetings. The purpose of this program is not to lead you to a job offer; it is for you to get an inside look at life as an industry scientist.
