The staff of the International Services Office (ISO) is here to support Scripps Research graduate students at every step of the way, from obtaining visa status to beginning their program and until their transition to a professional career. We support the incoming international students admitted in Scripps Research's graduate program, students currently pursuing the graduate program at Scripps Research and Scripps Research graduates in achieving their academic and professional goals while maintaining legal status.
International students admitted in the Scripps Research graduate program need an immigration status that allows study at Scripps Research. They are generally sponsored in F-1 or J-1 non-immigrant visa status. F-1 is the most commonly used visa status. The ISO reviews visa requests submitted by the Scripps Research Office of Graduate Studies, determines the appropriate visa category and issues visa document forms accordingly.
